“Here’s another fantastic announcement from Fellowship of Christian Athletes! On Tuesday morning FCA will be meeting in Mr. Droud’s room at 7:15. Everyone is invited, so if you’ve never been or haven’t been to a meeting in a while, make your way up to the fourth floor for food, fellowship and fun!

Hi my name is Jza Nevah I go to Northeast High School and I am apart of the NAACP Youth Chapter here in Lincoln, NE. My fact of the day is according to the History.com, on Feb. 3, 1870 the 15th amendment was ratified, which established the right to vote for black men in America. When Jim Crow laws would grip the South by 1877, there was a brief seven year window of opportunity half a million voters turned out to the polls and 2,000 black officials are estimated to have been elected during this time.

In Honor of valentine’s day the theme will be red and pink. Given that this is a home game, let’s make sure our student section represents well.

In Sports Today:

Varsity and JV Boys Basketball teams take on Southeast tonight in Johnson Gym. JV plays at 5:45, Varsity at 7:30.
And Swimming and Diving competes at the HAC tournament today starting at noon in Fremont.

On Saturday, Freshman boys and girls basketball teams compete in the LPS Championship at 9:15 a.m. Girls play at Northeast, and boys play at North Star.
JV Boys and Varsity Girls take on Bellevue West at Bellevue West at 5:30. Varsity Boys and JV Girls play at 7:15 also at Bellevue West.
Finals in the Swimming and Diving HAC tournament continue tomorrow at 12:00 pm in Fremont.
And Varsity Wrestlers compete at districts at Lincoln East tomorrow starting at 10 a.m.
