“All track athletes
Early track equipment check out will occur in the boys and girls track locker rooms after school on Wednesday, February 26th, Thursday, February 27th and Friday, February 28th.
In order to check out and compete you must have all of your parent forms completed, including a physical signed by a doctor for the 2019-2020 school year.
Track practice begins on Monday, March 2nd at 3:30 in the Athletic Conference Room. Make sure all your forms are completed and dress warm.”

“Do you like popcorn? Do you want to support your LHS girls soccer team? Then buy a bag of popcorn after school on Thursday and Friday!! $2 per bag. Popcorn is being sold at the main doors and the South Doors.

My name is Marcus McLaughlin from African American Caucus and I’m Alaa Ismail from Student Council. We invite all LHS staff and classes to participate in our Library Read-In this Thursday Feb. 20th and Friday Feb. 21st all class periods, to celebrate black history month. Whether you stay the entire class time or just a little we would love to see you there. Materials will be provided or you can bring your own, both students and staff can participate. There will even be some community members and staff from the District Office coming to visit LHS and participate with us! Please email Miss Overstreet as to which class period you would like to come. Hi ya’ll this is Linda Kuku, Lincoln North Star Senior, with your African American Fact for today. Malcom X was an African American Muslim minister and Human Rights activist who a popular yet controversial figure during the Civil Rights Movement. He was born in Omaha, NE in 1925, but was forced to relocate due to threats from a white supremacist organization. Malcolm X is recognized for his leadership in the Nation of Islam, Black Nationalism, and support for rights of African American and Black Empowerment. He later broke with the Nation of Islam as his views changed and supported racial integration. He was assassinated February 21, 1965. He is credited with raising the self-esteem of black Americans and reconnecting them with their African heritage. Thank you for learning and listening.

“Congratulations to the Lincoln High Swimming and Diving Team for their outstanding performance at the Heartland Athletic Conference Championships. The Links Recorded 47 out of 52 personal best performances. Isaiah Winston won the Boys Diving and Charles Sieglaff broke a 26 year old school record in the 100 freestyle. The links also qualified the following athletes for State.

There are both Boys and Girls Basketball Girls Reserve Championship versus multiple schools. The girls are playing at Lincoln Southeast High School, the boys are playing at Lincoln East High School, both games are at 5:45.
