The University of Nebraska at Lincoln (UNL) will be visiting with seniors in Room 300 on Friday during 3rd period. Seniors please get a pass from your teacher to come visit with the representative in Room 300. Thank you!

My name is Marcus McLaughlin from African American Caucus and I’m Alaa Ismail from Student Council. We invite all LHS staff and classes to participate in our Library Read-In this Thursday Feb. 20th and Friday Feb. 21st all class periods, to celebrate black history month. Whether you stay the entire class time or just a little we would love to see you there. Materials will be provided or you can bring your own, both students and staff can participate. There will even be some community members and staff from the District Office coming to visit LHS and participate with us! Please email Miss Overstreet as to which class period you would like to come. Hi I’m Tristian Swift and I’m with the youth chapter of the NAACP and this is another Black History Month Fact of the day. On August 1831in Southampton Country, Virginia Nat Turner led one of the prolific slave rebellions while also being a dedicated preacher. Thanks for listening and learning.

Boys Varsity Wrestling competes at state today starting at the CHI Health Center in Omaha. Good luck, wrestlers!

Boys and Girls Reserve Basketball compete in the second round of the LPS Championship tonight at 5:45. Boys play at East, and girls play at Southeast

A reminder that we are serving free dinner at LHS every Monday-Thursday night from 4:30pm-5pm in our cafeteria. Stop by after you get done with practice, ARC, or a CLC club and grab a free meal.
