
Inductees to the 2015 Lincoln High Athletic Hall of Fame were honored in an all-school assembly in the Johnson Gym on Thursday, Sep. 3, 2015.

Thursday, September 3, 2015 was a very special day for 23 members of the Lincoln High School Alumni. They were inducted into the Lincoln High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Among those twenty-three individuals were; Johnny “Jay” Pitts, Jr. (1991), who received two varsity letters in football and one varsity letter in golf; Delores Wertz Watson (1954) who lettered in table tennis, touch football, softball, golf, basketball, and volleyball; and Linda Brown Buettner (1988) who lettered in eight sports while attending Lincoln High, including three varsity letters in basketball, two in volleyball and three in track and field. The Hitz family was also inducted. They have had 34 Lincoln High graduates over a 70 year period. Each individual was present or represented by family at the induction ceremony, and they were also honored in front of all the Lincoln High student body and staff at the pep rally the following day.
