Will we have a snow day tomorrow? The question seems to be appearing everywhere. In the classrooms, hallways, and on social media.

According to Accuweather it is predicted that we will receive 6 – 8 inches of snow in between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday. This is part of a Winter Storm Warning that spans across Southeast Nebraska. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) suggests that,”If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.”

In the end, the decision will be made by the superintendent of LPS will decide based on the well-being of students. When the decision is made by the superintendent, families will be notified via phone call, text message, and email. The closing will also be announced on the LPS Homepage and on local media networks.
