Today is the last day to sign up for clubs.  Go to the LHS Home Page AND CLICK ON THE CLUBS LINK UNDER THE ACTIVITIES TAB to sign up for a maximum of 2 clubs. THE FIRST CLUB DAY WILL BE TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH.

Are you interested in becoming a teacher?  Educators Rising Club will meet on club days during 6th period. Sign up today!

LHS Key Club focuses on serving the community and developing strong leaders. They  have volunteered at the Center for People in Need, Foster Care Closet and are the sponsors of the yearly Trunk or Treat event,. Join this week by going to the clubs link on the LHS homepage under the activities tab.  

Discover a World of Opportunity by joining the Future Business Leaders of America club!  FBLA will meet in Room 216 on Club days during 3rd period. See Mrs. Bonnie Anderson in the Business Department if you have questions.

And now here’s a message from Student Council. 

This is Juliana Quattrocchi on behalf of your friendly neighborhood StuCo. Homecoming is coming up on Friday, October 11. Student Council is wanting to hear your voice. If there’s a theme you would like to see for Homecoming, use jump code YZOC to submit your theme idea! Student Council members will also be in the Cafeteria on Tuesday, September 3 to collect theme ideas. Go links!

Today’s After school Opportunities:

– Yezidi Program is meeting in Room 100L

– HOSA – Future Health Professionals is in Room S133 

– Homework Zone including Science and Math tutoring will be in the Media Center

In Sports: 

TONIGHT, Links Football will host Class A number-1-ranked Bellevue West, at 7pm at Beechner Field. The team has requested noise from the student section, and a lot of it. It’s a Blackout. 

TOMORROW,  Boys Tennis IS at Woods Tennis Center at 8am for the Northeast/Lincoln High Invite, Cross Country is at Norris, and Volleyball is at an Invitational at Norfolk. 

And on Labor Day, JV Football will play at North Star at 5pm.

Speaking of Labor Day, don’t forget to NOT come to school on Monday. Have a great three-day weekend, and we’ll see you back here on Tuesday.
