Good morning, Lincoln High! Welcome to LINKS LIVE!  The Lincoln High Morning News Show.

Do you want to be a future business leader?  Then you should join FBLA! Our first regular meeting is TODAY in Room 213 at 3:15.   Ice cream will be served.

Union College will be in the Counseling Center during 2nd pd. today. Please get a pass from your teacher if you would like to visit with them.

The Army will be here today 5th period in the cafeteria. 

Calling all future business leaders!  FBLA meets TODAY after school in Room 213. Come make your own delicious FBLA ice cream sundae.

In LHS Sports today….

Boys JV Tennis will play at Lincoln North Star against the Gators at 4:00

Reserve and JV Softball will face off against Lincoln Northeast at Doris Bair. Reserve plays at 5:00 and JV is at 6:30.

Reserve Softball lost on a walkoff versus Grand Island 5 to 6 on Monday. Emersyn Liljehorn & Emilyann Dawson each had 2 hits and an RBI. Alexis Edwards had an RBI single & Augustine Hegwood added an RBI.

And now here’s an announcement from Student Council: 

I’m Grace Versaw from Home Coming Committee on behalf of your friendly neighborhood student council. Vote for homecoming royalty this week using the following jumpcodes: for freshmen YTB4, for sophomores PDGF, for juniors YGRP, and for seniors YWB9. Nominations will be accepted now through Friday and second round voting will begin next Monday! Homecoming ticket sales will be next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during lunch and after school. Tickets are 5 dollars Tuesday and Wednesday and 7 dollars on Thursday. And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, your 2019 Spirit Week Themes! Monday will be Groutfit day, so wear your favorite all grey outfit. Tuesday will be preppy day. Wednesday will be western day. Thursday will be camo day. Friday will be Links Pride, so wear your red and black to support our Links and display unity. Stay tuned for more updates and Go Links!

A reminder from the school treasurer: 

A list of fines has been posted outside the Associate Principal’s office.  If you are planning on attending Homecoming, your fines must be cleared before a ticket can be purchased; make sure to check the list if you are unsure if you have anything outstanding.  A reminder, if you had any fees or fines from another school, you are responsible for clearing those in addition to any from Lincoln High.”

And now here’s an announcement from the Theatre Department: 

Thespian Convention registration is out. The entire form must be completed by Oct 5th by the end of strike. You can pick up a form in front of 217.  Please give your forms to Miss Thomas. This is a hard deadline no registration forms will be accepted after that point due to LPS account issues.

*Convention is January 2, 3, & 4

*Cost is on the form

*Convention will be 2 overnights in Omaha at the Double Tree (by the airport) with events at the Holland Center for Performing Arts. *Miss Thomas can be found before school in 301, at lunch in 217 and after school in the theatre area. “

Looking for a silly spooky way to start out your Halloween season? Come see Lincoln High Theatre’s family friendly Dracula: A comedy thriller starring Shirley Holmes and Jennie Watson. October 3rd and 4th at 7:00 PM and October 5th at 2:00 pm at the Ted Sorensen Theatre for 5$. Tickets are available from cast members, as well as at the door.

– Homework Zone including Science & Math tutoring meeting in the Media Center

All students MUST Be in a supervised activity by 3:15pm. You will need a pass if arriving after this time. Once students leave the building, they will not be able to reenter.
