Good morning, Lincoln High! Welcome to LINKS LIVE!  The Lincoln High Morning News Show.

Today is the second day of second round Homecoming Voting. Use the jumpcode GGPQ to vote for your favorite nominees. Today is the last day to buy Homecoming tickets for $5 during lunch and after school. Tomorrow the price rises to $7. HoCo is this Friday from 8:30 to 11:30 pm. Enter through the South doors. Homecoming royalty will be announced at 10:30. Student Council looks forward to seeing you there!

 

Also,  Before you STAND in LINE to BUY YOUR HOMECOMING TICKET, check SYNERGY and see if you owe any fines.  In your STUDENT VUE, click on FEE and see if you have any fines to pay. If you don’t, GREAT. If you do, please be ready to pay these fees (or you can also work out a payment plan with Mrs. Able).  Thanks and Happy Homecoming

 

“Today’s After school Opportunities:

– Las Razas Unidas meeting in Room 107

– Dungeons & Dragons meeting in Room 130

– Life After High School meeting in Room 100L

– Homework Zone including Science & Math tutoring meeting in the Media Center

 

All students MUST Be in a supervised activity by 3:15pm. You will need a pass if arriving after this time. Once students leave the building, they will not be able to reenter.

Wise mind project is a fun and interactive group that teaches helpful mindfulness skills that will help you tackle your personal goals.

Attention students! If you received an email invitation for ACCUPLACER testing, please report to room 300 this Thursday, 10/10/19, at the beginning of 2nd period (8:56). Please be sure to have your chromebook FULLY CHARGED as there won’t be any chargers available. A reminder that this test is not timed, so take as much time as you need to do well. After you’re done you will have a chance to meet with SCC representatives to go over the results. Representatives from the admissions office as well as financial aid/scholarship, and Learn to Dream will also be present to answer any questions you may have. If you have any questions/concerns, please see Ms. Nguyen in the counseling center.

Today in sports: 

JV girls golf plays at Mahoney Golf course at 1 pm for the LPS Open. 

Varsity, JV and Reserve boys tennis will play Southwest at 4pm. JV is at southwest, Reserve is at LHS, and Varsity is at Woods

Varsity softball plays their first game at districts today at Gretna at 9 a.m. 

 

Attention baseball players not participating in a fall sport, Monday October 14th is LHS Baseball field clean up day from 315 PM until done.”

 

For anyone interested in participating in unified bowling, there will be a meeting for parents and participants on October 10th at 5:30 in the media center.

 

All boys who signed up to play 1st session indoor soccer need to get their $47 to Coach Cerny in room 113 ASAP
