LinksLive! The LHS News Broadcast 10/16/19

Wednesday, Oct. 16th

Good morning, Lincoln High! Welcome to LINKS LIVE!  The Lincoln High Morning News Show.

I’m Jacob Vanderford,  and I’m Tyler Schumacher.

The University of Chicago will be in the Counseling Center today As well as the University of Illinois at Chicago during 4th pd.

Please get a pass from your teacher if you want to come visit with the representative.

You are welcome to join the English After school Resource Center in Room #316 with Ms. Rennings, any Monday or Wednesday, from 3:15 – 4:15. Stay just long enough to get the help you need or the entire hour! It’s up to you! Teachers can assign students to ARC, but students are encouraged to come in voluntarily to get their needs met. There are ARC sessions for art, business, math, science, social studies, and world language classes, too. Get the help you need to meet your academic goals from Lincoln High teachers!

October is here which means that Key Club Trunk or Treat is coming!! It will be on Oct. 26 from 5:30-7pm. This is a community event where we invite all the local elementary school to come to LHS and trick or Treat with us! We also collect food for the Lincoln Food Bank and cash donation.

IF your club or organization would like to have a trunk for the event, use the  jump code: PCYF to register! They need lots of trunks to make this the best possible event for our community!

If you have any questions ask Judy Tuttle or Kirsten Huddleston.

If you are a Link who is interested in traveling to London and Paris during spring break of 2021, it is time to start planning! We will be embarking on a trip that will take us to London, Windsor, Leeds Castle, Canterbury, and the cliffs of Dover… all before we cross the channel to spend three days in Paris where we will experience all the City of Lights has to offer. Additionally, there is a fundraising opportunity that will help pay for almost 1/3 of the trip’s expenses for Lincoln High students. If you are interested in this trip, please contact Mr. Maly via e-mail at cmaly@lps.org.

Remember to give StuCo your feedback about Homecoming. Go to jumpcode GQY9 and give us your feedback. We appreciate it. THANKS
