Students, please stop in and renew your library books! You don’t have to have the book with you, but all books that are overdue will be moving into Synergy fines. Please stop in and return or renew to keep from adding Synergy fines to your account. Thanks so much and stop in the library if you have any questions.
Have you ever wished you could be a better public speaker? Do you enjoy acting? Do you have an important message to share? Do you wish you could win medals and trophies just for talking? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then LHS Speech Team has a place for YOU!
If you weren’t able to attend our informational meeting, but are still curious about the Speech Team, we welcome new members throughout the fall semester! Please join us ANY Monday in Room 302 after school to learn more!
Hey Girl Up! We’re having a printmaking party on Wednesday, after school in Room 135. We will be making cards and other printed products to fundraise at the Lincoln Makers Fair. You don’t need to be signed up or have attended previous meetings to come help; anyone can come join the fun! We’ll see ya there!!
The Downtown YMCA is offering a free event of fun for Freshman ONLY. There will be games, activities, and prizes for students. Teen Night this month is on Saturday, October 26th from 6:30-10:00pm. We hope to see you there!
In sports:
Congratulations to the Lincoln High Cross-Country teams for their tough fought performances at the District A-1 meet on Thursday, October 17 at Papillion-LaVista South High School. The Boys Team placed 7th and the Girls Team placed 4th. Freshman Kennedy Bartee qualified for the State Meet by placing 12th with a 5K time of 20:43. Kennedy will race this Friday in Kearney at 12:30 pm.
JV cross country will have an open tournament at pioneers park. JV and Freshman
Volleyball will face Norfolk at Lincoln High. It is senior night for volleyball.

The Lincoln High Varsity Volleyball team swept Lincoln North Star in the opening round of the Heartland Athletic Conference tournament in three sets. They play Pius X tomorrow at 5:00 at the home of the Thunderbolts. I’m Tyler Schumacher with Lincoln High Sports.
