And now here’s your Native American Heritage Month fact of the day:

On this Veterans Day, we wanted to recognize the contributions of Native Americans in the military.

  • 31,000 American Indian and Alaska Native men and women are on active duty today, serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere around the world.
  • 140,000 living Native Americans are veterans. 11.5 percent of these veterans are female, as compared to 8 percent of all other ethnicities.
  • Native Americans served in the post-9/11 period in a higher percentage than veterans of other ethnicities

Thanks to our Native men and women vets for their service.

Hi! I’m Mr. Droud, one of the Huddle Leaders for Lincoln High’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In an effort to get people to listen to the information we’re sharing about FCA on Links Live, we are going to end one of our weekly announcements with a famous movie quote. The first student or staff member that emails rdroud@lps.org, with the correct answer will receive a “fabulous” prize. We’ll always start our announcement with, “Here’s another fantastic message from Fellowship of Christian Athletes” to prep you for the potential quote. We hope you enjoy the game and hey… thanks for listening!

Here’s another fantastic announcement from Fellowship of Christian Athletes! There are many that love to eat at McDonald’s, Chick-fil-a and Subway, but are “fast food beliefs” just as good?  Tomorrow we’ll discuss why slowing down will get you where you ultimately want to go. Be in Room 402 by 7:15 for twenty minutes- it’ll certainly be worth it! Oh, and today’s movie quote: “THIS IS THE FIGHT OF OUR LIVES. WE ARE GOING TO WIN. WHATEVER IT TAKES.” The first person to email Mr. Droud with the correct movie title will win a “fabulous” prize.

And on the lunch menu today, we have,

ENTREE

Popcorn Chicken, Cheeseburger on Bun, or a Chef Salad

MEATLESS ENTRÉEs include
