Due to a snow storm, school was canceled today, Friday, January 17, 2020.

And now here’s an announcement from Student Council:
Do you know what’s one week from now? Bands Against Bullying at 7 pm in the Ted Sorensen Theatre. Enjoy music from Smells Like Bold, Motel Citizens, Emma Harner, and more all while standing against bullying. We’ll see you there!

This week’s topic for Respect Campaign has been Culture. Being able to respect and accept the differences of others prepares people to be global citizens by introducing them to people from a variety of cultures and social groups. Culture and diversity in education develops understanding and social acceptance. Diversity at Lincoln High allows our classrooms to be filled with a variety of perspectives and views, thus enhancing our own worldview! There is a legislative leadership training and day coming up. This event is privately sponsored and is not sponsored or endorsed by Lincoln Public Schools. Students who are interested please see Miss Overstreet in room 136A periods 1-4, 136B 5-6, or 400 period 7. Signed permission forms are due January 23rd.

Attention Pre-IB Sophomores: On January 28th and January 30th at 7:20am in room 132 Mr. Noser will be holding informational meetings about the IB Music class. You only need to attend one meeting if you are interested. During this time Mr. Noser will talk with you about the IB Music class and give you a handout with information about what materials will be covered. If you are unable to attend one of these meetings and would like to get more information please email Mr. Noser at bnoser@lps.org

In sports today:

Swimming & Diving: competes in an invitational at LHS today at 4:30.
Varsity and JV Girls and Boys Basketball teams all play Pius the tenth today AT Pius the tenth. Girls Varsity and Boys JV play at 5:45, Varsity Boys and JV Girls play at 7:30.
