We missed out on Music Friday last week because of the snow day, but the Music Friday winner from two weeks ago was Mariah Wailes. She correctly identified the theme, which was ”Wind Songs.” Ms Wailes will receive Marcus Theaters buy one, get one free movie passes AND two free drinks. Congratulations, Ms. Wailes. Tune in this Friday for your chance to win.

Theatre-a-thon will be rescheduled and the new date will be announced TBD

Did you know that 1 in 5 students are reported to be bullied during the school year? This week’s Respect Campaign topic is Bullying. Bullying is a very common issue in schools today. Here at Lincoln High, it is very important to be respectful of everyone so that bullying ceases in our school. To help raise awareness, this Friday, wear blue for Anti-Bullying! Also, come by the Ted Sorensen Theatre at 7 pm this Friday to hear some awesome bands like Motel Citizens and Smells Like Bold at Bands Against Bullying! StuCo will see you there.

Work Experience Students, your contracts are due to Ms. Carlson in room 207 by Thursday, Jan. 23rd. Please get them handed in to ensure your spot in the class and your ability to earn 10 credits. If you have not yet picked up a contract, you must see Ms. Carlson today!

“Attention all LHS students!!! THE Lincoln High Slam Poetry Team try-outs will be held THIS FRIDAY, January 24th; please contact Ms. Deets for more information on this exciting opportunity for Lincoln High WRITERS, EDITORS, POETS & SPOKEN WORD PERFORMERS’!!!

There is a legislative leadership training and day coming up. This event is privately sponsored and is not sponsored or endorsed by Lincoln Public Schools. Students who are interested please see Miss Overstreet in room 136A periods 1-4, 136B 5-6, or 400 period 7. Signed permission forms are due TOMORROW, THURSDAY, January 23rd.

Attention Pre-IB Sophomores: On January 28th and January 30th at 7:20am in room 132 Mr. Noser will be holding informational meetings about the IB Music class. You only need to attend one meeting if you are interested. During this time Mr. Noser will talk with you about the IB Music class and give you a handout with information about what materials will be covered. If you are unable to attend one of these meetings and would like to get more information please email Mr. Noser at bnoser@lps.org

The Food Market is TODAY, January 22nd in the cafeteria after school until 330. Reminder, it is open to anyone and everyone. Nothing is needed to attend.

Lincoln Graduation wilL be here in the hallway outside of the Counseling Center on TOMORROW and Friday this week for graduation seniors to order their caps and gowns. The price is $20.00. They will also be selling t-shirts and other memorabilia for the class of 2020. The price for the caps and gowns will go up starting Feb. 1st so please get yours ordered soon!
A reminder that we have begun serving free dinner at LHS every Monday-Thursday night from 4:30pm-5pm in our cafeteria. Stop by after you get done with practice, ARC, or a CLC club and grab a free meal.

English After school Resource Center – ARC – meets TODAY – and every Monday and Wednesday – in Room #316 with Ms. Rennings from 3:15 – 4:15. There are also ARC sessions for art, business, math, science, social studies, and world language classes, too. Get the help you need to meet your academic goals from Lincoln High teachers! See you there!

Freshman and Reserve Girls Basketball vs. Northeast
Freshmen play at 5:45 and Reserve plays at 7:30. Both games are at Northeast.

Today’s Dinner Menu: Country Beef Sandwich with crinkle fries and diced peaches

Dinner is served and eaten in the LHS Cafeteria between 4:30-5pm. This is a FREE meal for any student.

Because of the snow day on Friday, the menu this week will slide one day. We used Friday’s menu yesterday, and we’ll use yesterday’s, today, etc. with Monday being French Toast. We will then totally drop Monday’s original menu and be on track starting next Tuesday. Thanks from LHS Food Service.

On the lunch menu today, we have:
Taco Chalupa, Cherry Chicken on Brown Rice, Honey Sriracha Boneless Wings, or a Chef Salad
MEATLESS ENTRÉEs include:
Bean & Cheese Chalupa, Meatless Chef Salad and a Roll
