LHS club fights for women’s rights

Feminist for change is an on campus club after school. Kaitlin Sidders, a member of the club, said the group not only focuses on women’s rights but also missing and murdered indigenous women,LBQT+rights ,period poverty and gun control.

Last year they did a fundraiser at the friendship home here in Lincoln. The friendship home is an organization that supports sheltered, and advocates of domestic violence.  They are currently planning on future fundraisers this school year.

One struggle they had  last year was getting enough period products to fill all the girl bathrooms with. If you want to donate you can drop it off at room 101. They are always looking for new members so feel free to join at any meeting. You can find more  information on their Instagram page @lhsr4c.

“If you are passionate about feminism, joining F4C would allow you to meet a group of people of like minded people,” Sidders said.

You can find more information on the clubs with Coral Flora in room 101 Wednesdays after school.
