Don’t know how to spend your spring break? Try these 5 things to spice your time up and have a blast!
-
Travel to a nearby city with friends and explore!
With so much time on your hands, why not go explore what a big city near you has to offer? I recommend going with some friends and seeing if there’s a local business that you can’t get enough of! Check out coffee shops, diners, family run clothing stores, etc. to find something you’re in love with! Another option is to look through thrift stores to find something completely unique.
-
Have a picnic with friends
On a particularly sunny day, I would recommend you get some friends together and travel to a local park to enjoy the sunshine! A great way of doing this is by having a picnic and playing some outdoor games with friends. This could be anything from walking on a nature hike to throwing a frisbee to flag football if you have enough people.
-
Pick up a new hobby!
Free from the stresses of school, you have plenty of time to pick up a hobby you’ve always wanted to try out. Some easy ones to pick up and learn include anything with yarn, a new sport, a strategy game like chess, creative writing, a craft of some sort, or cooking.
-
Make a recipe that you’ve always wanted to try!
Speaking of cooking, spring break is the perfect time to try a new recipe. You have lots of time to gather the ingredients you need, get an understanding on how to make the dish, and make it! I find that baking specifically is a lot of fun and trying new pastry recipes can be really rewarding.
- Try some spring cleaning!
While it may not be the most fun thing on this list, having a clean space can help with your enjoyment of life and can provide a feeling of calm to your break. Taking a picture of before and after can also be very satisfying and make it feel more worth it. Even if you don’t clean everything, seeing the before and after can help you see the progress you have made in spite of that.
