The Lincoln High Volleyball team began its season against Grand Island Senior High at Johnson Gym Thursday night. The Links, coached by Lynette Rychecky, lost in straight sets to the highly ranked Islanders; however, the Link opened the contest by nearly defeating GI. The season opener proved that this year’s Links squad will be able to compete with the state’s best teams as they try and earn a berth for the state tournament.
