The deadline to register to vote in the General Election is THIS FRIDAY, Oct. 26, 2012 by 6 p.m.
If you haven’t registered yet, since the mail-in deadline has now passed you must now register in person.
Any eligible Lancaster County resident citizen may register to vote in person at the Election Commissioner’s Office, 601 N. 46th St., which is open weekdays, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., and will be open through 6 p.m. Friday. (Click here for a map.)
You can also register in person from 3-6 p.m. Friday at three Russ’s Market locations — 33rd Street and Nebraska 2, West A Street and Coddington Avenue and 70th and Van Dorn streets. It also will be offered from 3-6 p.m. at Super Saver, 27th Street and Cornhusker Highway.
If you have moved, changed your name, or want to change your political party affiliation, you must also update that information in person before Friday.
