Nancy Ripenburg

img_1026-1Let’s start from the top! My name is Nancy Jane Ripenburg. I’m a senior at, you guessed it, Lincoln High. My astrological sign is Cancer, I enjoy long walks on the beach, and… Wait, this isn’t a dating profile.

Professional life? I was in Publications in 8th grade, and since then, I’ve taken very little interest in the newspaper world. Then, out of the blue, my writing spirit flared up and I wanted to report on things that mattered. Like, you know, video games, standing desks, and the like. The important stuff! As for a job, I work at the Hudson Bay Company, and so far am enjoying it.

Personal life is a little more interesting, and trust me when I say I have a lot to say. I’ll keep it brief. I live with both parents, mother and father, and my little brother, James. They’re a pretty neat bunch. I have friends, who like (oh yes! They don’t tolerate, they like) my interesting “quirks.” I’m pretty maternal, I’m loud, I talk a lot, I’m “eccentric.” In this case, I suppose “extrovert” is an understatement.

Wanna talk (or in many cases, argue) with me? Here’s what I know a lot about; Hannibal (TV series, movies and books), Sherlock, Doctor Who (seasons 1-7 New Who), Supernatural, Marvel Cinematic Universe, Devil May Cry (first four games & reboot. And yes, I LIKE THE REBOOT), Ib (pixelated RPG horror game), working on knowing the show Psych, and a bunch of other, random factoids. Be weary, once you start talking to me, you may not be able to get me to shut up.

I love to talk, and I love to learn. If anything in one of my articles is wrong, or you don’t agree with it, find me! Talk to me about it. I’ll argue, but I’ll listen, and keep your viewpoint in mind for next time!

TL-DR: I’m a loud mouth with opinions who has a spot on a newspaper team. And I’m awesome.

That’s about it. Thanks for taking the time to read, I appreciate it. May you have the best of luck with the rest of your day.
