Staff takes court to raise money for charity

In two days, the Lincoln High tradition Hoops for Hope, hosted by Student Council, will be taking place in the Johnson Gym on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 7 p.m. Tickets will be $5 at the door, and all proceeds go to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Hoops for Hope is a Lincoln High tradition where two faculty basketball teams play each other on the court, and raise money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Teams can be found below. A video hyping up Hoops for Hope, made by Student Council, can be found here.

Student Council Hoops for Hope chair Taylor Beecham organized the event with the help of Student Council sponsor Carter Hulinksy.

“It’s for a good cause,” Beecham said. “It’s fun to see your teachers play!”

Come support teachers and staff members play a heated game of basketball Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the  Johnson Gym. Tickets are $5 at the door.
