Good morning, Lincoln High! Welcome to LINKS LIVE!  The Lincoln High Morning News Show.   

 

I’m Mikil Foss, and I’m Jacob Vanderford

Midland University will be in the Counseling Center during 4th period on Thursday. Please get a pass from your teacher if you want to visit with the rep from Midland University.

The Marines will be here on Thursday in the cafeteria during 5th pd. lunches. Stop by their table if you would like to visit with them.

Today in Sports:

Varsity Girls Golf will be playing at Highlands Golf Course at 9:30 in the Lincoln East Invitational

Boys Reserve Tennis will host Lincoln Northeast at Lincoln High at 4pm

Freshman Football will travel to Fremont. Kickoff is set for 4:30

JV and Varsity Softball will play at Doris Bair against Lincoln Southwest. Varsity starts at 5:00 and JV is to follow.

Registration for the PSAT is OPEN!

The PSAT will be administered on Saturday, October 19, 2019. This only happens once a year. This test is designed specifically for juniors planning to attend a 4-year college.

Register by:

  1. Filling out the Google Form (https://forms.gle/zc8vy4Lr9PQ1Aabw5) at Jump Code BDYX
  2. Paying $25 via Synergy or directly to Kim Loth in 200R (the bookkeeper’s office)
  3. Going to the Counseling Center to receive your ticket for admission and the PSAT Student Guide and Practice Test

You must have your registration complete by Friday, October 11th to be able to test. Space is limited.

YMCA Youth and Government invites you to join their program year kick-off event on Saturday, Sept. 28th in Lincoln, Nebraska from 10:30am – 3:30pm to learn more information on how to start a chapter at your school.

African American Caucus has a field trip coming up for Seniors Only. The Fall Black Leadership Symposium at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is on November 6th. If you are interested in going to this great event please email Miss Overstreet or locate her in room 136B periods 5-6 or after school. You will have until Oct. 4th to decide if you would like to attend The Black Leadership Symposium. Thank you!

 

“SENIORS! Remember that Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019 is the DEADLINE for submitting your SENIOR PHOTO for the YEARBOOK.

Visit the Yearbook Website for information about what kind of photo we need and how to submit it at jump code: YTYB

You can also see a list of the photos we have already received. Please check this list to make sure we have it and to make sure there isn’t a problem. 

If you don’t submit a photo to us, we will use the LifeTouch photo you had taken at the beginning of the year for your school ID photo.

To avoid having to do that, the Lincoln High Yearbook Staff would be happy to take a head and shoulders photo of you FOR FREE! Contact us to set up a time to take the photo.  lhsyearbook@lps.org
