Wednesday night, March 29 at Lincoln High School the Links varsity soccer team faced up against the Lincoln Southeast Knights on the field.
In the first half of the game the Knights scored two goals.
Later on one of the links was injured when he was kicked in the head by a knight at the very end of the first half of the game. Red card was called and the Knights player argued, blaming the link for the incident, still he was chewed out by the referee.
In the second half of the game the links were able to score two goals bringing the game towards a tie 2-2 . No one else was able to score by the end, taking the game into overtime.
In the first minute into overtime, the Knights scored two goals, giving them the advantage over the Links.
Despise efforts from the Links, they failed to gain additional goals and the Knights took the victory for the night.
