Jacob Vanderford, Sports Editor
This is Jacob's first year as a part of the Advocate Staff. He is a sophomore here at Lincoln High School, and is part of the International Baccalaureate program and involved in many extracurricular activities. Jacob plays baseball here at Lincoln High, and played his first year for the team last year in the spring and played Legion Baseball for the Surface Sealers in the summer. He's always had a passion for the sport, as well as many others, such as football and basketball, with his favorite major league sports teams being the Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Boston Celtics. He's also involved in the theatre program here at LHS, performing in the musical last year, as well as the fall show and the musical this year. He has a passion for music as well, performing in the Lincoln High Momentum Show Choir, the Lincoln High Marching Band and Concert Band, and has been in the Lincoln Boys Choir outside of school. He's also been involved in the NMEA All State Choir and the Nebraska Wesleyan Honor Choir in past years. Jacob's dream is to someday become a Sports Broadcaster, and is ecstatic to be able to bring the daily sports news, scores, and stories to the Lincoln High School students and staff.
