First-ever LHS Winter Informal coming this December

After years of receiving feedback from students requesting another dance, this was the year that Student Council was able to finally make a winter dance a reality.
This informal will take place on December 1, 2017 in South Gym starting at 8:30 p.m. and lasting until 11:30 p.m. The cost will be $5 at the door. It’s important to note that this is an informal, and the dress code is casual.
“People wearing jeans is definitely welcome,”Barnes said. “We don’t want people to feel like they have to go out and spend money.”
“I think that when my students approached Mr. Larson, he said yes you can do it, but don’t make it a formal dance where people would have to go out and buy a dress,” Barnes added.
There was a lot of confusion as to whether this dance was actually happening or not, which Student Council Sponsor Nicole Barnes attributed to time spent waiting for Principal Mark Larson’s approval, but it’s on!
