The National Honors Society is hosting a product drive to assist people in need who were affected by the storms that tore through Elkhorn and Blair Friday night. These tornadoes left many people with severely damaged homes and property, and without access to their basic items. Although NHS can’t do anything to rebuild their houses, they can provide things like toothpaste, phone chargers, and cash donations to help make this tough time a little easier for those effected.
All of the donations that NHS raises are set to go directly to Omaha Rapid Response, a crisis response center which will apply the donations to people in need in the towns affected by these terrible tornadoes. Mrs Pickering, from the business department will be in charge of transporting these goods to the organization.
If you are interested in helping, this Thursday will be the last day to do so. Bring donations to your English, World Language, or Business classroom. There will also be a collection area at Joy Night on Thursday. These donations could be of all sorts of things, including clothes, period products, toothpaste and toothbrushes, personal care items, cat and dog food, phone chargers, cash, or whatever else you can think of. Thank you for doing your part to help our fellow Nebraskans recover from these storms.
