Fright Hunger Food Drive

Fright Hunger Food Drive

By Miata Wallace

DECA and The Red Cross have gotten together this semester to help with the hunger issues in Lincoln.  They have started a contest between all 5th period classes starting October 22 and ending October 26.   Students are encouraged to bring in food to their 5th period class for the whole week.  DECA and The Red Cross team will go to each class weighing the food that your class has and then take it to the People’s City Mission.

The class that has the most pounds will win a pizza, cookie, and soda party on a day that is most convenient for you class.  Your 5th period teacher will also have a list of items that are most needed in the contest.

If you need any more information go to http://www.peoplescitymission.org/events/FrightHunger/. Help your 5th period class win the prize by helping fright hunger.
