Just for Kicks, Nike Releases New Air Jordans

Just for Kicks, Nike Releases New Air Jordans

By Taho Kim

Sneakers. That’s what comes into my head when I think about an outfit or fashion. Somebody with a pair of fresh kicks would always catch my attention no matter what.

There is wide variety in people’s choices of sneakers. Nike, Adidas, Puma, Reebok, Converse, Vans, etc. Some people are more into designer brands that have expensive price tags on them, but I would like to focus on what kinds of Air Jordans are releasing in late 2013 and the beginning of 2014.

A pair of sneakers that I’m going to introduce is called “Nike Air Jordan Retro 5 Oreo.” The release date was November 29th, 2013, on Thanksgiving. There were a lot of series of Air Jordan 5 releasing in this year for its 23rd anniversary, but the Air Jordan 5 Oreo is going to be the last one in 2013. This sneaker is cookie-inspired and uses a contrasting upper and midsole to full advantage. It seems like this release is one of the most anticipated releases that are on the Black Friday. Like those big tickets Retros, Air Jordan 4 “Bred”, Air Jordan 3 “Black/Cement”, and Air Jordan 13 “Flint.” What you can look forward to in this sneakers is the combination of black nubuck material and extra clear icy blue outsole on the bottom.

However what I hate about having ice outsole on my shoes is that it could easily turn yellow. Even if you never take them out of their box and keep it dead-stocked, there is the possibility for them to turn yellow. For the midsole, you’ll have your black shark teeth inspired by P51 Mustang(Black and white sparkles). This pair is a great example of simple colorway. One of the biggest change they’re making in 2014 is their price changing. That means most Air Jordans are going to be $170 retail without tax.
