This Saturday, October 19, 2013, Lincoln High will be eligible to gain a percentage of the proceeds made at Barne’s and Noble on 66th and O. The fundraiser lasts all day long, but starting at 9:30 a.m., Asian Caucus and the LHS Book Club will be reading books to children. For each in-store or online purchase, Lincoln High will receive 10%. For each Nook purchased, Lincoln High will get 5%. In order for Lincoln High to get the money, one must say while checking out, “I want a percent of my proceeds to go to Lincoln High.” The online fundraiser will last for a week.
The Starbucks inside of Barne’s and Noble will also be giving 10% of their proceeds to Lincoln High during that day. “We have a drink of the day, it’s like a Lincoln High drink with black and red sprinkles on it!” Associate Principal, Jill Able said.
