“It doesn’t feel like a Zombie Apocalypse”

Dead Rising 2 came across me wrong during my play. It’s an Olde Way zombie apocalypse, where everyone seems to get infected for just being an idiot. The zombies are slow, and occasionally make a half-hearted lunge at the player, or Players (In Co-Op form)

Every game has a gimmick. Dead Rising 2 has homemade tools of destruction, in wacky tools such as a leaf rake with a battery attached, A bucket with drills, The classic bat with nails, a paddle with a pair of chain saws crudely duct-taped on each end, And a shotgun strapped to the handle of a pitchfork. This keeps the game interesting, although it doesn’t get much in the way of having an actual story, besides caring for a young girl who got bit by a zombie, who was her mother.

The game, while lacking in story, is supposedly supplemented by a prequel named Dead Rising 2; Case Zero, neither of which have much correlation to the first game besides the title, being filled up with zombies, and having ‘Customizeable’ weaponry, Dead Rising 2, on first impression, and mostly due to being completely free on Xbox Live till 8/31, gets a Four, out of Five.

If I had to pay for it? A Three, out of Five.
