Game Room Gives Store Credit

Game Room Gives Store Credit

By Sean Shear

Gamers all over Lincoln know of the magical store known only as “The Game Room” on “O” street, famous for great deals, locality, and intelligent, relatable employees who come from a similar fandom as their customers, something most store employees in corporate stations (Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Sam’s Club) lack, merely because they prefer to cover all categories, while not being too refined for maximum profits, compared to the Game Room, a store that specializes in the best offers for movies-for-sale, and a wide selection of games.

They offer a program for “Store Credit”, either volunteer hours for mutual profit while not losing money, while the volunteer gets a large sum of credits (normally about 5 per hour) to use in any purchase they wish, be it movies, games, or entire consoles.

For those unwilling to part with a large collection of their games for one or two new ones, there also exists far more personal ways of acquiring games, a method studied and practiced by this reporter. Craigslist, a recent site, has found a way for users to advertise anonymously to users who wish to share alike their collections, for either monetary gain, or mutually beneficial trades, where anything can be traded for anything else, whether it be goods or service.

This author recommends meeting in public spaces (Or one both you and the other know of, such as the Game Room, or the state capitol building) dressing well, agreeing to the meeting location with the other ‘Merchant’, toting along a briefcase with the item in question earns bonus points, start a decent conversation to acclimate yourself to the other’s interests, make the trade, and walk away believing you’ve made a profit.
