On Friday evening, the Links hosted the Huskies of Omaha Northwest. The LHS student section was “Minion”-clad as students dressed the part of Minions from Despicable Me. The student section brought the spirit, and was “amazing” according to Tiffany Back, a campus monitor at Lincoln High School.
Both teams came into tonight’s game with a 0-1 season. But only one of the teams could leave a winner. The Links shutout the Huskies scoring 50 points throughout the game. The Links leave the game with a 1-1 season, while the Huskies leave 0 for 2 for the season.
Lincoln High wins this game following an upsetting loss last week against the Bears of Omaha Bryan and the Huskies continued their streak in a, as of yet, scoreless season for the Huskies—last week, they lost 48 to 0 against Lincoln Northeast.
The Links continue on to Fremont next Friday to take on the Tigers at 7pm at Fremont.
